August (Auggie) Pullman is a 10 year old boy born with a rare face condition that prevented him from going to a regular school – until now. Now he is faced with the difficulty of entering fifth grade at Beecher Prep, and he’s about to be the new kid, but not just any new kid, an ordinary kid with an extraordinary face.

It is up to him to try and convince his classmates that appearances do not affect how you are and that he’s just like them, despite his physical differences.
